my resume
At University of Rochester
Studying economics and business for the last three years at University of Rochester has been an important and didactic journey for me in learning what I enjoyed and realizing that I wanted to pursue a career in the corporate world. As an economics major, I have studied a number of exciting subjects such as econometrics, micro and macro economics and game theory, giving me an accurate understanding of the power of the forces at play in an open market. I also developed an interest in business analytics and strategy, and decided to further my knowledge in the field by taking classes in business modeling, data analytics and computer science. The subject has been an integral part of my realization that today's world is fueled by technology, and its growth has changed the face of business forever. Subsequently, I decided to put some additional effort into honing my analytical skills.
Skills I've gathered
As of winter 2020, I have taken classes from Harvard University's introductory course CS50 and Google Analytics Academy's introductory class. At University of Rochester, I took multiple classes that covered the concepts of programming with R and Python. I've also performed considerable analytical work in Stata as part of my econometrics coursework. My internship and work experience has given me the ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Excel's many intricate features, which have proven to be useful in data analysis and prediction in a business setting.

Involving myself in University organizations has provided me with a platform to improve my interpersonal and communication skills, through the responsibilities of event and budget organization.

Extracurriculars
As an international student in the United States, I always looked for ways to reconnect with my interests, and I found that University of Rochester's extracurricular student organizations were a hub for people to connect based upon similarity in interests, be it academia, culture or arts.

I am a member of the Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent (ADITI) for which I currently serve as an event manager. I also joined the University's Hindu Students' Association and perform volunteer and budgeting tasks for the group. I was part of University of Rochester's premier all-female a capella group, Vocal Point and Forte Foundation's Rochester Chapter. I found that being around people who supported my interests helped me thrive as a person outside of the classroom.

I started learning American Sign Language in my sophomore year, and the language has given me exposure to an entirely new culture. Through the ASL department at University of Rochester, I have interacted with a multitude of Deaf people and received insight into their welcoming and encouraging community.
